REVIEW
I haven’t finished reading this yet, but already feel I can give this full marks. For anyone interested in the origins of Games Workshop or the Fighting Fantasy game books, this is a must read. It’s well written, and the anecdotes are very entertaining. There are lots of pictures and topics covered such as Citadel Miniatures and the start of Warhammer which I’ve never read before. My only issue, if you can call it that, is that at I will have read this fully soon. That’s in part due to the number of pictures vs. words (not that having pictures is a bad thing) and how much I get through when I sit down to read it. It’s very engrossing! I would also like to read more about Games Workshop in the later 80s and early 90s, but I understand this is out of scope of this book and is after Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson’s time at the company. Hopefully someone else will do this in the near future! In short, buy this book!
